Leona chosen to record Bond theme?
Producers believe Lewis is the ideal choice to sing the Quantum Of Solace theme due to her success Stateside.
A source sad: "It looks like Leona has finally won the race. She is seen as one of the few candidates who has the right profile both sides of the pond to do it."
Amy Winehouse has long been rumoured as the frontrunner for the job but her recent personal problems may have ruled her out.
"Amy was their original choice but she just can't get her act together and hasn't got the right image," the source added. "The Bond guys now look set on Leona. She is reliable and has a great voice for it. Hopefully something could be announced soon."

Angelina Jolie - Jolie Spoke About Self-harm To Help Others
Hollywood actress ANGELINA JOLIE is determined to speak openly about her past as a self-harmer - in order to help fellow sufferers overcome their problems.
The Girl, Interrupted star has previously admitted in several interviews she cut her arms as a teenager in a bid to cope with depression.
And although the 33-year-old has since managed to conquer her demons, she insists she is happy she went public with her struggle - because she believes talking about her own experiences has helped other victims.
She says, "The reason I talked about going through certain pains of even cutting myself is that I was already out the other side.
"I knew there were people who did that, and were happy somebody admitted they did and discussed how they got out of it. I don't see the point of doing an interview unless you're going to share the things you learn in life and the mistakes you make.
"So to admit I'm extremely human and have done some dark things, I don't think makes me unusual or unusually dark. I think it is the right thing to do and I'd like to think it's the nice thing to do."

Gabriella goes gold
Just 16 years old, Cilmi yesterday continued her rocking run of international success after her album Lessons to be Learned achieved gold status - 100,000 copies - in the UK. Currently headlining her first sold-out mini tour in Britain, the only lesson to be learned for the ecstatic singer yesterday was how to articulate her excitement. "The guy on Capital Radio London who surprised me on air with this incredible news said Ishould always say it hasn't really sunk in yet," Cilmi said yesterday. "I know that is such a used one liner but he is right ... I am so excited but really can't believe it has happened ... maybe Iwill in a few days." Lessons to Be Learned also attained gold status in Australia last week, while Cilmi held the top spot on the ARIA singles chart for the third consecutive week with her catchy pop track Sweet About Me. With the song now No.7 on iTunes in Switzerland, No.8 in Portugal and No.4 in England, half the world now knows exactly how sweet her dulcet tones are. But it's Cilmi's wardrobe that is about to get a whole lot sweeterstill, thanks to Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana. The brunette beauty will head to the Italian capital of Milan to perform a showcase next week, and has been invited to enjoy a shopping spree at Dolce & Gabbana's international showroom headquarters.
Charlize Theron - Theron Slams Fame Hungry Celebs
Oscar winner CHARLIZE THERON has blasted celebrities who constantly court media attention - branding their attitude "ugly".
The actress is sick of fame-obsessed stars, insisting she finds it "sad" to see people strive to be paparazzi fodder.
She tells Britain's GQ magazine, "It comes across as this really sad need for approval. I've heard people make comments like, 'You don't really want to be in the tabloids but you need to be for your career'. They believe it's actually important. It's not. It's ugly.
And the star angrily refutes suggestions actors should welcome the tabloid attention - insisting it isn't her job to provide stories for celebrity publications.
She adds, "People say, 'That's your job.' It really isn't, actually. It's not my job to go out there and make an ass out of myself.
Theron also hits out at stars who spread their personal lives over the pages of glossy magazines.
She growls, "Like, your life belongs to us now? That's the deal? I didn't get that memo. It wasn't sent to me and I didn't sign it. So, f**k you."

Networks Face Great Wall Of China
Television networks around the world (including the U.S.'s NBC) who have been licensed
to cover the Beijing Olympics are complaining about foot-dragging by Chinese officials
in granting necessary permits for everything from freight shipments to camera place
ments, the Associated Press reported Monday. The wire service quoted from minutes
of a meeting between network producers and the Beijing and International Olympic
Committee organizers last month in which IOC official Gilbert Felli accused Chinese
officials of imposing conditions "that are just not workable." In its report, the AP commented:
"The minutes hint that procedures broadcasters have used in other Olympics are conflicting
with China's authoritarian government. Some plans are months behind schedule, which could
force broadcasters to compromise coverage plans." AP's own television unit, APTN,
is among a number of non-rights-holding news organizations that have also complained
about rigid Chinese restrictions. APTN News Director Sandy MacIntyre complained, "We
are two weeks away from putting equipment on a shipment and we have no clearance
to operate, or to enter the country or a frequency allocation."
